Food Service Manager

Varied hours, stipend plus hourly pay

The Rolling Brick, a mobile, wood-fired pizza company is looking for a Food Service Manager to move and operate a mobile truck to and from catering locations based at their registered commercial kitchen in Rockville, MD to work mainly evenings and weekends on varied schedule week to week.  The food service manager will report to the owner.  Looking for someone who prefers not to work in an office, likes working outdoors, and is interested in grassroots local business development, using quality, homegrown organic food and working in a small, family-owned business in a fun environment moving from location to location often with live music and scenic, venues. Potential to move into full time role as business grows. 

Chop and stock wood, kindling and start fire in wood fired oven
Manage start up and break down of stock for events
Drive mobile oven to and from events
Physically capable of working comfortably and fluidly as part of an active pizza cooking operation while managing customer transactions
Accountable, reliable and trustworthy to handle cash and credit transactions
Assist with training seasonal pizza prep staff
Must have great teamwork ethic to fill in gaps where occasion calls for it
Cross-train to be able to assist with receiving deliveries, inventory and food preparation 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must enjoy working with customer
Be able to perform and provide excellent service under high pressure
Prior knowledge of food service industry a plus
Punctual; clean hygiene practices
Clean driving record and valid driver license
Comfortable with outdoor physically strenuous activity
Must be able to lift weight such as coolers, generators, 40 -50 lbs 

Great customer service skills
Basic addition, subtraction
Comfortable driving trucks and trailers
Prefer ServeSafe Certified Food Manager
